Set of Six Italian Art Deco Dining Chairs in Oak Brass & Light Beige Fabric
Set of six dining chairs, faux leather, oak, brass, Italy, 1930s/40s
These Italian Art Deco chairs from the 1930s-1940s exhibit a blend of elegance and craftsmanship typical of the period. The chairs have a distinct, streamlined silhouette with a balanced mix of angular and rounded elements. The backrest features a dual-panel design, revealing brass studded detailing along the upholstery seams. The wooden framework in solid oak and the light-toned creamy leatherette combine to create a warm and refined look. The legs of these chairs are elegantly designed, featuring a subtle yet notable taper that reflects the Art Deco focus on streamlined form. Interestingly, a comparable design appeared in an interior created by the French decorator Pierre-Étienne Petit in 1937.
Kindly note that the chairs are in good, used condition with signs of age and use. The fabric contains stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
