Pair of 'T-Shape' Dining Chairs in Oak and Brown Checkered Upholstery
Pair of dining chairs, oak, fabric, France, 1960s.
These dining chairs have a strong resemblance to Carl Hansen's t-chair and the dining chairs by Sapporo for Mobil Girgi, yet this design is different in its details. Strong vertical and horizontal lines create a strong, architectural expression. The back of the seat is supported by a wooden frame consisting of two parallel placed wooden slats, and the horizontal backrest gives these chairs its remarkable t-shape. The back legs are slightly bend. Brown fabric with a checkered pattern in tones of beige and brown is used to upholster the seat, which perfectly matches the oak wooden frame.
Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This item might contain some threadbare upholstery with loose seams and small stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
