Pair of Dining Chair in Pine and Sheepskin
TON, dining chairs, pine, reupholstered in sheepskin "Maori" Honey by Skandilock, Czech Republic, 1950s
Pine dining chairs by TON featuring a sheepskin in beige color. This particular model is manufactured without armrests. The elegant designed open shape of the frame in combination with the plush and woolly upholstery makes this chair very versatile for any type of interior. The design looks simplistic, yet these chairs were made with high attention and great craftsmanship.
Ton was founded after World War Two in former Thonet factories and continued with the furniture making tradition set up by Thonet. In the 1960s, the Ton company asked various architects to contribute in the researc process and develop new design forms by using the renowned technology of bentwood, leading to new, more contemporary designs.
