The design of this hunting chair, with its leather loosely attached to the frame by means of straps that are holding it to the frame. The style of this chair has traits of the design classics of Danish Mid-Century Modern classics, such as the designs of Borge Mogensen.
Paco Muñoz (1929 - 2009) was a Spanish designer who founded Darro in 1959 as a movement against the recently fallen Franco Regime and to break through the cultural isolation. Founded by Muñoz in 1959, the design company Darro created furniture with a focus on European modernity and to neglect the more traditional, Spanish styles. Being inspired by Italian designers such as Gio Ponti and Scandinavian Modern design, the influences of these design aesthetics were clearly visible in the furniture.
