Michele De Lucchi & Silvia Suardi for Poltrona Frau Daybed in Leather
Michele De Lucchi e Silvia Suardi for Poltrona Frau, daybed part of the series 'Piazza di Spagna', leather, wood, Italy, production 2000-2009
This limited edition daybed is created by Italian architect and designer Michele De Lucchi in collaboration with Silvia Suardi, a female designer that worked about ten years in De Lucchi's studio. This furniture line focused on combining the type of home furniture with that of garden furniture, as Michele De Lucchi stated: "I like the idea of bringing in what is outside and bringing out what is inside.". The construction is clear and simple, yet with a classic touch. This is discernible in the outer frames composed of curved legs. The daybed will come forward nicely in a relaxing atmosphere, like a patio or a studio space, made possible by the shape and the soft and solid texture of the cognac leather that withstands water. This piece is completely free of decorative details and, therefore, all attention goes to the material and essential form.
Please note that this piece is in good, used condition. The leather contains dents and surface scratches. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
