Marco Zanuso for Arflex 'Fourline' Chair in Black Leather
Marco Zanuso for Arflex, leather and chrome-plated steel, Italy, 1964.
This lounge chair by Zanuso remains among the best examples of armchairs designed by the architect. It is not only the ingenious slender design that distinguishes it, but also the experimental elements and technical methods that went into this piece of furniture. Zanuso did not abandon his path as an experimenter with this object, on the contrary. Yet it was also aimed at the new rich who wanted to indulge in a certain laziness, may that be with a technical touch. The design won a golden medal at the XIII Milan Triennal. The combination of the dark leather and chrome is a classic, fitting combination.
Kindly note that this piece is in good, used condition.
