Luigi Radaelli Italian Pair of 'Tartana' Lounge Chairs in Brown Leather
Luigi Radaelli, pair of 'Tartana' lounge chairs, leather, beech, Italy, 1970s
These postmodern Italian lounge chairs will surely grab the viewer's attention. The construction is based on enlarged biomorphic shapes with curvaceous lines and bold shapes dominating the layout. The top layer of the upholstery is attached to the seat with wooden buttons, which enhances the voluminous appearance as well as the ergonomic quality of the chairs. The dark and light patinated sections of the brown leather give it a lively and vibrant appearance. Additionally, the intricate stitching on the back of the leather creates an almost patchwork-like effect. Overall, the designer created a piece that radiates comfort while still being eccentric and stylish.
Please note that the leather contains some tears. Reupholstery or restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery and restoration is possible as well.
