Isao Hosoe for Cassina 'Artù' Armchairs in Cognac Brown Leather
Isao Hosoe for Cassina, 'Artù' dining chairs, saddle leather, Italy, 1991
Made in 1991, the Artù chair by Japanese engineer and designer Isao Hosoe for Cassina is inspired by the legendary King Arthur's round table. Artù is conceived as the perfect seat for a round table, creating a sense of togetherness and encouraging social interaction. Viewed from atop, the chair's structure forms a circular shape with vertical cut-outs that add a touch of sophistication. The upper edge elegantly flares outward, providing a striking silhouette. The thick saddle leather contributes to the chair's robust and sturdy appearance.
The chairs are stamped with "M-1 Cassina".
Kindly note that the leather shows signs of wear, with noticeable cracking, particularly on the armrests. One chair contains a visible stain on the backrest. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
