Ingemar Thillmark for OPE 'Läckö' Lounge Chair in Brown Leather and Oak
Ingemar Thillmark for OPE, easy chair, model 'Läckö', leather, oak, Sweden, 1965
The Läckö armchair is designed by Ingemar Thillmark for OPE and can be considered as a true icon of Scandinavian Modern design. The wooden frame in oak has an open construction with horizontally placed slats structuring the back. The back leather cushion is secured to the frame by means of leather straps, which serve the dual purpose of holding the cushions in place while exuding a sense of durability and strength. The patina and rugged texture of the leather combine to imbue the chair with a distinct and robust look.
