Guido Canali Set of Eight Rare Dining Chairs in Walnut and Cognac Leather
Guido Canali, set of eight dining chairs, walnut, leather, brass, Italy, 1960s
This set is one of the rare furniture designs by the architect Guido Canali (born 1935). The chairs, designed by Canali at the early stages of his career, were inspired by the work of Danish modernists such as Kaare Klint and other contemporary Danish designers. This is an excellent set consisting of eight chairs with frames manufactured in warm walnut. The tripod frame is structured with three tapered legs, rising up to the backrest. The circular seating and the backrest are upholstered in beautiful patinated cognac leather. The rounded shape of the backrest is emphasized by the brass nails that fixate the leather. The design of the open frame is elegant and convincing.
Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition with traces of age and use. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
