Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi Hanging Cabinet in Oak and Glass

Sale price$6,950.00

Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi, cabinet, oak, glass, Italy, 1970s

A stunning hanging cabinet designed by Giuseppe Rivadossi, executed in oak and glass. Rivadossi once again proves his great eye for materialization and technicality this set of cabinets is exemplary for. A remarkable aspect of these pieces is the intricately thought-out front, which shows a graphic picture. The doors of the cabinet features small windows of glass. The wooden surface visualizes the artist’s hand and his movement to treat the wood with the use of intensive hand-planed and trimmed techniques. A real masterpiece that will stand the test of time and serve as a standout in one's interior.

Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962, Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.

Kindly note that this piece is in good, used condition.
