Frits Schlegel for Fritz Hansen Set of Six 'Husum' Chairs
Frits Schlegel for Fritz Hansen, set of six 'Husum' chairs, elm, beech. Denmark, 1930
Danish designer Frits Schlegel created the 'Husum' chair which got manufactured by Fritz Hansen in different editions. This model made out of elm and beech features a monochrome, but due to the grain of the wood, natural appearance. The seat and backrest are fully executed in elm and the frame is made of beech, brass connections hold the chair together. The slightly curved backrest and the rounded forms in the frame gives the 'Husum' chair a dynamic look that is underlines by the lightness of the design.
Kindly note that the chairs are in fair condition with. The wood exhibits wear, including stains, discoloration, and scratches. Some wooden seats contain fissures.
