Erik Ole Jørgensen for Bovirke Easy Chair in Cognac Brown Suede and Metal
Erik Jørgensen for Bovirke, lounge chair, model BO361, chromed metal, suede, wool, rope, brass, Denmark, 1953
This design by Erik Jørgensen epitomizes a splendid construction featuring a ball-shaped seating that is attached to a stabile frame in chromed metal. Remarkable detail is the characteristic lace that gracefully surrounds the seat underneath. The buckles and straps enrich the leather in a vigorous manner. A wool cushion is added which enhances the natural feel and gives more comfort to the sitter. Shimmering silver-colored chrome brings some more freshness and modernity to this natural design.
Please note that the suede is in good, patinated condition. It shows signs of age and use, with stains, marks and discoloration. The chromed tubular frame shows signs of age. Restoration and/or reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier.
