Early Danish Settee in Leather and Green Upholstery
Settee or sofa, stained wood, leather, fabric, brass, Denmark, 1920s.
Exceptional example of early Danish design with robust, bulky aesthetics. The frame of the settee is made of stained wood. The back and armrests are upholstered with nail fitted, patinated brown leather. Noteworthy, is how the leather has aged in a beautiful way, especially on the armrests. The seat is finished with a soft cushion, which is upholstered in a green fabric.
The settee shows wear due to age and use, with some marks and scratches all-over. Leather with surface crackles. These flaws are only attributing to its authenticity and aesthetics, and is rare to find in this fine condition.
