Danish Art Deco Lounge Chair in Patinated Leather and Stained Ash
Armchair, stained ash, leather, fabric, Denmark, 1920s.
Exceptional example of early Danish design, this lounge chair with robust, bulky aesthetics. The frame of the chair is made of stained ash. The back and armrests are upholstered with nail fitted, patinated brown leather. The leather has aged in a beautiful way, especially on the armrests it's noteworthy. The seat is finished with a soft cushion, which is upholstered in a green fabric. This chair is easily pictured in a beautiful country house.
The chair shows wear due to age and use, with some marks and scratches all over. Leather with surface crackles. These flaws are only attributing to the chairs authenticity and aesthetically, and is rare to find in this fine condition.
