Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen Easy Chair in Oak and Cognac Leather
Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, armchair, model '4700', oak, leather, Denmark, 1965.
Armchair designed by the Danish designer Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971). The frame shows elegant geometric lines and is executed in solid oak. A nice detail are the visible mortise & tenon joints on the edge of the armrests and the support underneath the seating. A patinated cognac leather is used to upholster the seating and backrest and integrates perfectly with the oak frame.
Kindly note that the piece is in good, pre-owned condition with signs of age and use. This includes a visible repaired tear in the leather. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
