1950s Mid-Century Sculptural Pair of Armchairs in Olive Green Velvet
Pair of lounge chairs, velvet, beech, brass, Europe, 1950s
These mid-century modern armchairs exude a sculptural presence, their forms effortlessly blending soft curves with structured elegance. The olive green velvet upholstery clings to every contour, accentuating the fluidity of their shape. The backs swell gently, embracing the sitter with a subtle winged effect, while the arms undulate outward, like organic extensions of the form - neither rigid nor exaggerated, but poised in a perfect state of tension. From the side, the slope of the backrest flows seamlessly into the seat, supported by slim, tapered wooden legs that angle just enough to add a sense of lift. The studded detailing in brass accentuates its graceful contours and add finesse to these lovely chairs.
Kindly note that the chairs are in good, used condition. The fabric contains some spots and the armrests exhibit wear. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
