1950s 'Hunting' Lounge Chairs with Ottomans in Solid Oak
Pair of lounge chairs with ottomans, oak, fabric, rope, Germany, 1950s
Modest set of two lounge chairs with two ottomans. These relaxing hunting chairs show a basic minimal design with great woodworking, visible for example in the beautifully executed oak wooden frame. An open character is created by the high legs. The woodjoints and the lace seating enhance this design. Another nice detail is the visible white string under the cushioning between the frames. The two ottomans are consistent with the trapezium and tapered design of the chairs. Furnished with white upholstered cushions, this comfortable set provides an excellent hang-out. In design and quality these chairs show great resemblance to the chairs of Uno & Osten Kristiansson.
