Meant to be placed freely in the room, this desk captivates from every viewpoint. The primary structure of the desk includes a substantial rectangular tabletop with an asymmetrical layout. On the left side, three stacked drawers are enclosed in a walnut casing, each featuring brass handles flush with the surface. The right side includes a smaller, single drawer. Serving as its focal point, the central to the desk's support system is a strikingly concave-curved brass panel that forms the pedestal of the piece. Its curvilinear form introduces a sense of fluidity and contrast to the otherwise rectilinear design of the desk. The base of the desk, which mirrors the rectangularity of the tabletop, incorporates a marble footrest centrally positioned on the platform. Its refinement is enhanced by the brass detailing, which is further emphasized by the brass trims along the edges of the walnut surfaces, offering a sleek, sheen contrast to the rich warmth of the walnut. Luciano Frigerio had a dream to create furniture that became art through clever design and the use of high-quality materials.
