Spanish Table in Braided Straw
Table, braided straw, beech, Spain, 1950s
This table holds an intriguing wooden construction aptly defined by sturdy formalism. The legs are decorated in a refined manner consisting of metal studs, emphasizing the typical Mid-Century Spanish aesthetics. The rustic appearance of the wood compliments the round shaped table top in braided straw. The natural texture of this latter material creates a wonderful contrast with the dark wood and contributes to the organic character of the design. This table show strong resemblance to designs of the French duo Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet who are known for their wooden furniture combined with rope.
Please note that we have matching chairs in stock as shown on the images. Kindly be aware that the height of this table is a little lower than a regular dining or center table.
