Sale price£13,432.51

Adrian Pearsall, sofa model '2006S', fabric by Pierre Frey Bold F3212007 Fougère, walnut, United States, 1960s.

Classic, soft shaped sofa designed by Adrian Pearsall in the 1960s. This piece truly has a unique appearance. Although it is modest and simplistic, it also shows a bold choice of fabric and convincing lines and shapes throughout the design. The walnut frame extends past the upholstery and becomes two flanking end tables. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a stunning bright green fabric by Pierre Frey.

Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011), trained as an architectural engineer, was a sailor and interior designer. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company 'Craft Associates'. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.

Kindly note that this sofa and its woodwork has been completely restored and reupholstered in our in-house atelier. This piece is perfectly ready to enjoy for many years to come.
