This lounge chair, conceived by the French designer Victor Courtray (1896-1987), represent a distinguished example from the formative phase of his career. During this period, Courtray's work was profoundly influenced by the eminent Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, a leading authority in design since 1925. The early stage of Courtray's oeuvre is notable for its adherence to the Art Deco style, characterized by precise geometric forms and carefully calibrated proportions that amplify the perception of volume, particularly in the grand interiors of luxury hotels. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier.
