This pair of American easy chairs are executed in darkened beech and green upholstery. The seat is thick and wide. The tufted backrest encloses the seater in a comfortable way. The backrest is connected to the hind legs in an elegant, flowing way. The carved legs are tapered and enhances the elegant design.
American furniture designers John Lubberts and Lambert Mulder (1991-2007) formed a partnership soon after World War Two as accomplished and effective designers for several furniture manufacturers. A few of their better known designs are manufactured by Tomlinson Companies which is also known for the production of several celebrated furniture pieces such as Vladimir Kagan's 'Cloud' sofa. Lubberts & Mulder are known for their quality furniture design executed in a traditional mid-century style.
