Oscar Torlasco for Lumi Tall Floor Lamp in Brass with Red Shades
Oscar Torlasco for Lumi, floor lamp, lacquered aluminum, lacquered steel, brass, glass, Italy, 1950s
A refined floor lamp featuring three distinct conical shades in elegant black and terracotta red, designed by Italian designer Oscar Torlasco (1934–2004). This exceptional piece is anchored by a sleek round base, from which a tall, slender rod extends, supporting three independently adjustable lights. Each shade is mounted on a versatile ball joint, allowing for precise positioning, and is equipped with an individual on/off switch for tailored illumination. The interior of each cone is lined with white aluminum, optimizing light reflection for a beautifully diffused glow. A hallmark of Torlasco’s lighting designs, optical glass plates subtly diffuse the light.
