Jindrich Halabala Square Stool in Light Blue Upholstery

Sale price£997.66

Jindrich Halabala for UP Závody, footstool / tabouret / ottoman, fabric, stained oak, Czech Republic, 1930s.

This poetic pouf is designed in the 1930s when the Art Deco Period was at its highest point and distinguishes itself by means of artistic upholstery that retained its original fabric and interesting construction. Halabala created a harmonious pouf upholstered in a light blue fabric and braided cord surrounding the square seat. Functionality comes into play through the various functions this item embraces: you can simultaneously use it as an ottoman for your easy chair or as a stool to sit on. This item truly employs the designer’s aesthetic vocabulary and materials.

Please note that the fabric is in used condition with stains and loose seams. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
