This exceptionally rare bed is designed by Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara and was presented at the artisan workshop Esposizione Permanente Mobili of Palazzi dell'Arte in Cantù, Italy. Nowadays, it is seen as a sublime example of midcentury design from Finland. The walnut frame is pure and clear in its execution giving the bed both a simple yet stately appearance. The headboard and footboard are comprised of stiff cognac leather with striking openings. Excellent choice of materials and expert craftsmanship are at the heart of this design by Tapiovaara.
