Hans Jørgen Frydendal for Modul Bygge System Corner Sofa in Solid Pine

Sale price£11,577.00

Hans Jørgen Frydendal for Modul Bygge System, corner sofa, solid pine, fabric, Denmark, circa 1960

Hans Jørgen Frydendal created a sofa that directs all focus towards the inherent quality of solid pine and the constructive components of the design. The sofa evokes the spirit of the 'Sportstugemöbler' (weekend cottage or lodge furniture) series envisioned by Axel Einar Hjorth in the 1930s. Constructed with thick wooden slats intersecting at right angles, the structure features sections extending beyond. Crafted from pinewood with expressive grains and a warm tone, the piece exudes a natural allure.

Kindly note that this sofa is in good, used condition. The fabric shows signs of wear and use. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
