Hans J. Wegner Sofa ‘Airport’ in Striped Upholstery and Metal Frame
Hans J. Wegner for A.P. Stolen, sofa ‘Airport’ model AP35/4, fabric, metal, Denmark, designed in 1957
This sleek looking sofa is part of the ‘airport’ series and is characterized by a solid construction based on sharp lines and geometrical shapes that are noticeable in the body of the seat and the base, underlining the clear structured design. The metal legs elevate the seat up in a graceful way, which establish an open and more transparent look to the whole unit. The seat is upholstered in a striped fabric in black and off-white colors. As outcome, this creates more visual interest and adds a graphical touch to the quite simplistic design.

We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
