Sale price£1,782.98

Gunnar Asplund for ASEA, wall lamps, model '641', glass, metal, Sweden, 1940s

Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund (1885-1940) designed these lamps model 641 in the 1930s. A patinated polygonal fixture with long arm holds the delicate glass shade in place. Where the metal ring surrounds the glass is where the cylindrical shade widens and gets smaller again. The glass is vividly textured with internal air bubbles of different sizes.
