Sale price£17,669.01

Giuseppe Rivadossi, wall unit or library, oak, glass, Italy, 1975.

An exceptional library or wall unit by the Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi, featuring a high level of craftsmanship in woodwork. The sideboard offers plenty of space to display books and cherished personal belongings. A playful composition is created by the arrangement of different open and closed compartments.

Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
