French Art Deco Two Seat Sofa in Off White Upholstery
Sofa, walnut, faux leather, France, 1930s
This beautifully designed sofa was created during one of the most influential periods for the arts, namely the Art Deco Movement. The sofa originates from France and strongly resembles the aesthetics of French designers Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann and the duo André Domin & Marcel Genevriere. Distinguished by its sleek and slender profile, this sofa embodies a captivating composition of geometric shapes, characterized by crisp, well-defined lines. The backrest exhibits a graceful trapezoidal silhouette. The sofa is positioned on a small platform, enhancing its grandeur.
