Franco Albini and Franca Helg for Arteluce 'Ochetta' Wall Light
Franco Albini and Franca Helg for Arteluce, 'Ochetta' wall light, model 141, metal, frosted glass, Italy, 1962.
The 'Ochetta' wall lights were designed by Franco Albini and Franca Helg in 1962 and manufactured by Arteluce. They consist of a small plate fixated to the wall from which a stem runs upwards holding the oval shaped lamps. One half of glass is brown colored and the other half shows frosted glass. The shades can either be adjusted to your own liking, with the frosted glass facing downwards or upwards. The provenance of these lamps is well documented. They were hanging in an office building in Parma that Italian architect Aurelio Cortesi designed in the 1960s. More information will be revealed on request.
