Emiel Veranneman 'La Chaise' Lounge Chair in Cherry & Blue Rhomboid Fabric

Sale price£1,558.87

Emiel Veranneman, lounge chair, model 'La chaise', cherry, fabric, Belgium, design 1952

In 1952, Belgian designer Emiel Veranneman created a distinguished model for the lecture hall of an electricity company in West Belgium. The frame, crafted from cherry wood, exhibits a cubic design characterized by strong, clean lines. Notably, the armrest, shaped like an open trapezoid, seamlessly connects to both the front and back legs. Elegant details, such as the slightly tapered legs and the open structure of the frame, bestow a grand and sophisticated appearance upon the lounge chairs. The thick cushions, upholstered in blue fabric adorned with a rhomboid geometric pattern, enhance comfort, making these chairs not only visually striking but also exceptionally comfortable.

Please note that these chairs are in used condition. The lacquer on the wood is in need of renewal and the fabric shows signs of wear and use. Reupholstery and restoring can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
