Dutch Set of Four Dining Chairs in Black Lacquered Wood

Sale price£1,784.51

Set of four dining chairs, black lacquered wood, The Netherlands, 1970s

A robust set of dining chairs crafted entirely from wooden planks reminiscent of the design by Gerrit Rietveld. The design, characterized by its restraint and simplicity, is accentuated by a monochromatic black color. Noteworthy details include the distinctive arrangement of legs, with the front legs standing vertically and the rear legs positioned horizontally. The seat and backrest feature evenly spaced slats, leaving gaps between each.

Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition with visible traces of age and use, including fading of the lacquer. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.

Kindly take note that we currently have a matching table by Pastoe in our collection. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
