Dining Room Set With Jacob Kielland-Brandt Table and Chairs in Sheepskin

Sale price£5,128.41

Lovely dining room set consisting of a Jacob Kielland-Brandt dining table in pine and dining chairs upholstered in sheepskin

Jacob Kielland-Brandt, dining table, solid pine, Denmark, 1960s.

This remarkable table holds a natural expression due to the pine’s properties featuring grains and knots. The table has an open look and is structurally supported by means of a horizontal beam. In the highly refined wooden joints, you can see the work of an expert, a designer with high level of craftsmanship and a perfect eye for nuances. The design is based on subtle and modest lines, resulting in a simplistic furniture piece that is typical for Mid-century Danish furniture design.
Dining Chairs in Pine and Sheepskin

TON, set of six dining chairs, pine, reupholstered in sheepskin, Czech Republic, 1950s

Pine dining chairs by TON featuring a sheepskin in beige color. This particular model is manufactured without armrests. The elegant designed open shape of the frame in combination with the plush and woolly upholstery makes this chair very versatile for any type of interior. The design looks simplistic, yet these chairs were made with high attention and great craftsmanship.

Ton was founded after World War Two in former Thonet factories and continued with the furniture making tradition set up by Thonet. In the 1960s, the Ton company asked various architects to contribute in the researc process and develop new design forms by using the renowned technology of bentwood, leading to new, more contemporary designs.
