French Art Deco 1940s Armchair in Solid Oak with Woven Canvas Seat

Sale price£1,960.57

Armchair, oak, canvas, France, 1940s

This lounge chair reminds of the style of Charles Dudouyt (1885-1946), and is both elegant and sturdy. The clean lines of the oak frame feature some surprising details. For example, the way the backrest is connected to the frame with Art Deco influenced shapes. Also the way the armrests bent downwards adds a decorative touch. The seat is made with woven canvas straps.

Please note that the canvas is in good, used condition with stains. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
