Brazilian Pair of Lounge Chairs in Dark Laminated Wood by Móveis Cimo
Móveis Cimo, pair of lounge chairs, laminated wood, Brazil, 1940s
Well-sculpted Brazilian lounge chairs that deserve a prominent place in one's interior. The construction is based on rounded angles and curvaceous lines, made possible by the material's properties. The elongated, tilted backrest and spacious armrests contribute to the chair's grandiose and imposing look. While the front legs convinces with its angled appearance, the hind legs are surprisingly organically shaped.
The company Móveis Cimo was founded in 1913 by Willy Jung and Jorge Zipperer in Rio Negrinho. The company ceased to exist in 1982.
Please note that one chair contains a fissure in the armrest. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
