Brazilian Pair of Easy Chairs in Camel Upholstery
Pair of lounge chairs, leather, lacquered wood, Brazil, 1970s
This bulky Brazilian lounge chair consists of a round shell that forms a ring around the seat. The beige camel upholstery is tufted around the shell in dynamic folds. The shape invites to take a seat and relax. The three-legged base is made of dark lacquered circular slats that beautifully contrasts with the upholstery. The visual traits show strong resemblances with the signature style of Brazilian designers Percival Lafer and Lina Bo Bardi.
