Sale price£14,715.62

Børge Mogensen for Federicia model 'Hunting Chair', Sweden, 1960s

Hunting chair, designed by Børge Mogensen in 1950 for the Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition. The theme of the exhibition was 'Huntin Cabin'. Therefore Mogensen created this chair, experimented and designed this slender and open frame with a tilted V-shape. The frame is made of darkened and beautifully grained oakwood. Thick saddle leather is beautifully patinated and attached to the frame with brass buckles on the reverse. The whole design is open and honest: revealing all connections and joints. The Hunting chair became one of the most recognized easy chairs of the oeuvre of Mogensen.
