Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti Lounge Chair in Yellow Upholstery and Metal
Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti, lounge chair, fabric, metal, brass, Italy, 1960s
This Italian lounge chair by Augusto Bozzi (1924-1982) is characterized by a modest aesthetic due to its straight lines and round edges. The lower body of the backrest features a geometrical gap, and together with the wing-shaped armrests, creates an open and more light appearance. The seating area is supported by a metal frame with sleek outward-facing legs that are nicely decorated with brass at the ends. The back elegantly runs over into the armrests while developing in a winged shape, creating an inviting look. The style is simple and understated, where clean, fluent lines are allowed to emerge in the design.
