The sofa features a sturdy curved, frame executed in black lacquered ash that holds the tufted, black leather cushions in a graceful manner. The piece has smooth rounded lines that are visible in the legs and the curved armrests. A great combination of comfort and elegance. Angelo Mangiarotti (1921-2012) was an Italian architect and Industrial designer with a reputation to mainly focus on the needs of the users of furniture. His designs are solid and strong and he always used materials that would stand the test of time. Being schooled as an architect, Mangiarotti was very precise in using the right materials and the right sizing for his designs.
Please note that this item is in good, used condition. The leather is patinated and shows some scratches. Treatment of the leather can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier.
