Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Stildomus, 'Torcello' wall console, walnut, Italy, design 1977, production 1978
The 'Torcello' model is a rare find and is produced by the Italian company Stildomus, a furniture company that continuously strived in finding the perfect balance between 'the industrial process and artisan quality through the study of materials and technologies.'. The wall-mounted cabinet is executed in a fine walnut characterized by a warm tone and vivid grains. The presence of eight drawers ensures ample storage space, catering to your organizational needs with ease. To facilitate drawer access, the border is subtly recessed, allowing for seamless opening while maintaining a clean and uncluttered appearance at the front. Its material selection, paired with minimalist design and streamlined construction, culminates in a solid yet elegant piece of furniture.
