Vladimir Kagan, sofa model ‘Serpentine’, upholstery, teak, metal, United States, design 1950s

Beautiful Vladimir Kagan sofa in soft green upholstery that embraces the sensuous curves. Due to the organic shape and the absence of strict angles, the sofa gets a sculptural expression. More a large artefact than a functional sofa is what comes to your mind when the eyes follow the exciting lines. This ‘Serpentine’ is one of the early models with a wood frame and wheels.

This sofa has been recently been restored and upholstered in high quality fabric by the experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. The chosen fabric is light green velvet, the upholstery on the seat has octagonal stitching. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
