Italian Art Deco Console in Walnut
Console, maple, walnut and glass, Italy, 1940s This Italian console has been manufactured in walnut, with contrasting sculptural elements in maple. These highly decorative elements in maple function as a handle for the shallow drawer in the middle and on both sides of the console as a mark where the sides and legs are joined. The trident-shaped legs are connected to a base in walnut. The geometrical shapes and Stark contrast between the woods make for a very notable console with typical traits of the Italian Art Deco period.
