Andrea Busiri Vici, sofa, velvet, metal, Italy, 1960s

This elegant sofa features an aquamarine, light-blue velvet upholstery and is designed by Andrea Busiri. Andrea Busiri Vici (1903-1989) was an Italian architect who amongst other things designed the Italian Pavillon for the New York World Fair in 1939. The term organic seems to be invented for this settee as it resembles something like a rock formation or waved entity. On the other hand, this settee is classy and has a stately, almost royal appearance.

Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
