Percival Lafer for Moveis Patenteados, pair of lounge chairs model MP-091, rosewood, cognac leather upholstery, Brazil, 1960s A wonderful set of lounge chairs by Brazilian designer Percival Lafer. These chairs consists of two geometric shaped rosewood frames, functioning as the legs and to hold up the actual seat itself. The seat is attached to the frames by leather straps. The voluptuous and wide seat is floating, which is creates a nice contrast. Sturdy yet highly inventive design. The chairs feature warm cognac leather seats that contrasts with the dark rosewood frame. Percival Lafer began making furniture in the early 1960s. He had the true modernist view, and wanted to bring good and affordable design to everyone.
