Frits Schlegel for Fritz Hansen, set of six 'Husum' chairs, elm, Denmark, 1930.
Danish designer Frits Schlegel created the 'Husum' chair which got manufactured by Fritz Hansen in different editions. This model made out of beech features a monochrome, but due to the grain of the beech, natural appearance. Frame, seat and backrest are fully executed in wood, brass connections hold the chair together. The slightly curved backrest and the rounded forms in the frame gives the 'Husum' chair a dynamic look that is underlines by the lightness of the design.
