Pair of folding chairs, wicker, teak, Denmark, 1960s.

A foldable and portable chair with a natural appearance. The chair features a beautiful detailed wicker backrest and seating making the low position not only comfortable but also worth seeing when being not in use. The wooden frame has two handles adding extra visual quality as well as functional reasons to carry the chair. The overall shape and the use of materials can be associated with Hans J. Wegner's chair JH512 and Gio Ponti's design of the 'Ninfea' chair in 1958 yet this pair shows more decorative wicker craftmanship.
