Ole Wanscher for P. Jeppesens Møbelfabrik, set of six armchairs model 'PJ412', mahogany, leather, Denmark, 1960s

Modest set of dining chairs designed by Ole Wanscher in the 1960s. These chairs are very comfortable thanks to the remarkable wide seats and the slightly tilted backrests. This set is made with a mahogany frame, which is crafted in a very sculptural way; slim legs and rounded, wider armrests form a beautiful combination.

Please note that the leather shows patina and also signs of age and use. We advise reupholstery before shipping. Our in-house atelier would gladly reupholster these pieces, following your wishes. The professional and experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier are specialists in the reupholstery of design furniture. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value.

Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and worked at Klint’s design studio before becoming an independent furniture designer. While traveling through Egypt and Europe, Wanscher found inspiration that he incorporated into his own unique design aesthetic.
